Trude Sundset

Trude Sundset has been the CEO of Gassnova since 1 January 2016.

She has 30 years of business experience, with a focus on energy, environment and climate issues. Her extensive management experience includes business development, field development in the oil and gas sector and research management and development. Sundset has broad experience from organisation and industry both nationally and internationally. She has developed a broad network and has good experience of international co-operation.

Sundset holds a Master of Science degree in Technology Physical Chemistry from the Norwegian Institute of Technology (now known as the Norwegian University of Science and Technology).

​Tove Dahl Mustad

​Tove Dahl Mustad

Tove Dahl Mustad is Head of the Full Scale Department at Gassnova. She has worked for Gassnova since 2008.

Mustad has held several management positions at Gassnova. Amongst other roles, she was responsible for the full-scale project through the pre-feasibility and feasibility phase, and has also headed the 'External Relations' department. She has also served as a project manager. Previously, she held various positions in the oil, gas and petrochemicals sector, including roles for Ineos, Borealis and Statoil.

Mustad holds a Master of Science degree in Process Technology from Telemark University College (now known as University College of Southeast Norway).

​Ingveig Slettebø Rembar

​Ingveig Slettebø Rembar

Ingveig Slettebø Rembar is Economy Manager in Gassnova since 2008, and since 2013 also Manger of the staff functions. Rembar holds a master of science in economics and business administration from The Norwegian School of Economics, Bergen. She has broad experience from economy administration and controlling within in the oil- and gas business and within petrochemicals and plastics raw materials, both national and international operations and projects.


​Roy Vardheim

Roy Vardheim is Director of Gassnova's owner follow-up department for Technology Centre Mongstad (TCM), as well as Chairman of TCM. He took up his post in 2017, having previously been the CEO of TCM. He is also the Chairman of the Grenland Port Authority.

Vardheim has extensive experience of top level management from a number of companies. He has, amongst others, previously been CEO of Norske Skog Saugbrug AS and Borealis Scandinavia. He also has international experience in the excecutive management, including roles at Borouge in the Middle East and BIS in Scandinavia.

Vardheim holds a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the Norwegian Institute of Technology (now known as the Norwegian University of Science and Technology).


Ingrid Sørum Melaaen

Ingrid Sørum Melaaen is head of CLIMIT from 1 May 2019.

Melaaen has broad and varied experience as an advisor, manager, business developer and researcher within process and energy industry. She has held various positions in Skagerak Energi, Borealis and SINTEF, and comes from a position as senior technology advisor in Gassnova where she has been since 2017.

Melaaen is educated at the Norwegian Institute of Technology (now known as the Norwegian University of Science and Technology), has a Master degree in Chemical Engineering and holds a Ph.D. within LNG technology development.


Elisabeth Klerck Nilssen

Elisabeth Klerck Nilssen is Director Strategy and Communications.

Klerck Nilssen has broad experience from management, business development, communication and strategy. In recent years, she has established a business in technology and renewable energy in Africa. In addition, through consultancy, she has managed strategy work and innovation efforts in several major organizations. Klerck Nilssen has a background as business reporter in NRK, from the PR industry and as communications director of the large labour organization Virke.

Klerck Nilssen holds an Executive MBA from Bergen Business School, a first class Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Management from the University of Stirling in Scotland and Political Science from the University of Oslo.
